I decided against purchasing it. And the Mario Kart racing wheel is seriously stupid looking. Yet another space hogging peripheral that you may not use all too often, although to be fair you don't need it to play it.

Plus, I hate the fact that the Wii is a great collector of peripherals. The Wii Fit Balance board? How often do you think you'll use that? It's $120 or so, last time I checked. And to my knowledge, it only works for that game for the time being.

Definitely not the gaming system for the serious gamer. If you have kids or have parties a lot though, it's alright, I guess. Plus, there's no real racing simulation for the Wii. Gran Turismo FTW. Unless it gets delayed for a decade. Plus Mario Kart was cool for the first 5 or so hours. But since I am a racing fan, I tend to be a more skilled driver than item user. Which totally sucks when there's a huge handicap system where the most unskilled drivers (a.k.a. last) get the most insane items almost 98% of the time. So you get run over by 20 Chomp Chomps and 1000 spiked shells and lose the match because of that. It's seriously frustrating.
I think I agree with you on the Wii, but Gran Turismo isn't really a real racing simulation.
despite being huge and omni comprehensive, it has some many lacks, the fwd simulation is...well...debatable, the grip generated by the cars is completely out of the world, the tuning mods are based on...speculation of a kid, the game is also quite biased on Jap cars.
it also had some issues as a game in first place, like allowing you to do a 24 hours of race without the possibility to stop if not using the B spec, which is all but motorsports .
Again I still enjoy playing with Enthusia or replaying SCAR, while the only reason why I would play GT again is the presence of some cars missing in the others.

I think the word you're looking for here is awful.

I've never seen a front wheel drive car that could power-oversteer. Until I played GT that is. Forza is so much better in that aspect.

it happens also in Test Drive Unlimited, but that's not a simulator, it's just 1000 miles of roads without loading times.

You're right, but the Wii (to my knowledge) has 0 real-ish racing games. Anything is better than having nothing.

Rocke, I use gamecube controller for manual as well. It's so much more fun that way.

I don't own the Gamecube controller. Maybe I'm not used to it, but it looks poorly laid out. Then again, I don't own a Gamecube. I went from the Super Nintendo to N64 to the PS2 to the PS3.

Planning to get a couple lenses huh? Be careful with the Canon branded bag, it might be a target in bad areas (if you plan to go on vacation in less safe areas).

That's what really put me off in buying camera bags. Why can't it just look like a Jansport bag so I blend right in?

Just bought Bioshock for PS3. Another sale at Best Buy for $30.

Niko_Fx: Congrats on the lens. I've heard it's good value for money.

NSXType-R: Get a Domke. They don't look like a camera bag to ordinary folks. I've walked through bad neighborhoods here in the US, in Russia, South Korea, Mexico, etc. with about $3k worth of equipment in my olive green F2 without anything happening.
