    Corolla, Camry, Odyssey, Taurus

Because I was bored and had nothing better to do, here's one of those fiset/clarkson's ford fiesta style tests that seem to be rather popular here

    first up
my car, 2008 Toyota Corolla CE

    Is it practical?
The trunk, I imagine, can fit a zebra's head and if you fold the seats down, you might be able to fit 2

    Is it economical?
It's fairly good, better than the other cars
as for figures, I can't be bothered to check

    Is it fun to drive?
    not very

Will it break down all the time?
no, it is a toyota and a basic model at that, no power anything so there's not much to go wrong
but the rear cupholders are already broken for some reason...

    Is it easy to park?
    Yes

What if I go to a Shopping Centre and get chased by baddies in a Corvette?
    you'd be screwed

    Is it green?
erm, no, it's a sorta goldish tan colour

    Can I afford it?
Well if you've got $20,000 CDN or more, then you can
if you've got $25.49 then I'm afraid not

What If I'm asked to take part in a beach assault with the Royal Marines?
    I'd imagine that you'd die

2005 Toyota Camry LE, my dad's car

    Is it practical?
It's fairly good, it is a fairly large car

    Is it economical?
It's not as good as you'd expect

    Is it fun to drive?
    no, it's not

Will it break down all the time?
    no, it's very reliable

    Is it easy to park?
I think so, but my dad has managed to repeatedly ruined his door mirrors

What if I go to a Shopping Centre and get chased by baddies in a Corvette?
i'm not sure, i haven't tried it yet

    Is it green?
    no, red

    Can I afford it?
depreciation has dropped the price to around $20,000, so if you've got that much then yes

What If I'm asked to take part in a beach assault with the Royal Marines?
It is very reliable, so it'd be fine up to the moment you get shot in the head

2002 Honda Odyssey LX, my mum's car

    Is it practical?
Yes, very very practical, the third row folds flat, the second row and passenger seat can be removed

    Is it economical?
    I haven't driven in a long long time, so I don't know

    Is it fun to drive?
It's not bad, better than all the other mini-vans I've driven

Will it break down all the time?
the engine? no. but this LX model had automatic sliding doors, and they've broken down 7 times, that's an average of once every year since new. and honda has this stupid system where the radio doesn't work after you change the battery, you've got to call the dealership to ask for a card, that contains a number you enter into the radio and then it'll work again. Occasionally it'll start beeping, for no apparent reason.

    Is it easy to park?
yes, short hood and lots of windows help

What if I go to a Shopping Centre and get chased by baddies in a Corvette?
You know how I mentioned you can remove the seats? If you throw the seats at the baddies, you'll be just fine

    Is it green?
    no, silver

    Can I afford it?
yes as long as you've got around $12,000

What If I'm asked to take part in a beach assault with the Royal Marines?
You'll packing yourself and 6 marines, but then you'll die when the automatic sliding doors refuse to open

1992 Ford Taurus GL, my old car

    Is it practical?
yes, it's very big, seats 6

    Is it economical?
no, it's worse than the odyssey by far

    Is it fun to drive?
In a drifting around corners in the snow way, yes. In everyday commute, no. And the front end suddenly gets light at around 130 km/h.

Will it break down all the time?
yes...radiator has broken, leaks from different systems, lots of rust, handbrake wouldn't dis-engage, wouldn't shift into drive, muffler fell off, lots of warning lights, air conditioning is shot, radio is always static, indicator stalk won't return to position

    Is it easy to park?
no, because to get reverse, you need to get out and push the front of the car...

What if I go to a Shopping Centre and get chased by baddies in a Corvette?
the muffler and radiator that's just fallen off might get in the baddies' way, otherwise you'd be screwed

    Is it green?
    no, cherry red

    Can I afford it?
the specific car I owned is worth about $30, so yes

What If I'm asked to take part in a beach assault with the Royal Marines?
you'd be late because you spent too much time pushing the car on to and off of the landing craft

From now on it should be implemented as an standard.

I remember the radio code thing. I once had to do it on our old Scenic because I pushed a piece of plastic through the cigarrette lighter and something happened to the electrics
