friend of a friend who lives in Womboin IIRC hit 4 kangaroos, in the same night, in about 20 minutes, THAT sucks, and she only had a Festiva. The operative word being 'had'

We used to live down that way on the Monaro (nearer to Bredbo) which is where 3 of our roo-strikes happened. The other one was on bloody Flemington Rd in Mitchell!

Through a mutual friend I heard of this guy with a late-model Landcruiser trayback who was tootling innocently along the Monaro Hwy late one night betwen Williamsdale & Royalla. Only doing 90km/h & equipped with a really solid steel bullbar and had the big spotlights blazing away to keep a good eye out for Skippy, you'd think he'd be reasonably ok wouldn't you?

Then an almighty CRASH just as he passed beside an embankment through a cutting, followed by lots of thumping, banging and glass breakage. He hadn't seen anything in the headlights but would you believe a big roo had launched itself off the embankment and landed on the roof of the Cruiser from above - literally fallen out of the sky - and ended its days flailing around in the space between the cab & tray. Total repair bill came to around $8000

that sucks major arse, ive had one jump into the SIDE of my 200 out near Jerrabomberra but ive nearly hit them in gilmore, fadden and down in tuggers too theyre friggin everywhere now.

Yes roos have killed people coming through windscreens, their claws are sharp and necks have been gashed....
