Well then you obviously missed the 917/30.
If you should see a man walking down a crowded street talking aloud to himself, don't run in the opposite direction, but run towards him, because he's a poet. You have nothing to fear from the poet - but the truth.

When I say a "Real Man's Porsche" I mean cars that are in the tradition of the 917K, the 917/30, the 935/78, the 911 2.7 RS and the 996 GT3 RS (I'm sure there are a few I've left out, but you get the idea). I'm talking about the cars that are optimized to assure good drivers a trip to the podium and bad drivers a trip to the hospital. I'm talking about as far as you get from this "well on the new Turbo the tiptronic is actually faster" stuff. The "WIDOWMAKERS" if you will.

I thought like couldn't trust my eyes. But it seems to be that the contend in this thread is everything posted to the 997 GT2 in the hideout.

Well, need to do something. This shouldn't stay a 5-picture thread

Does anyone know why the GT2 wasn't facelifted like all other 997-gen 911 in 2009?

Probably because it already got the LED tusks, so it looked the most current of them all, even though it hadn't been facelifted yet.

By the way, thanks a lot again.

I'm enjoying your contributions a lot!

also i thought the GT2 traditionally got done last out of all the models, not sure though. they are probably waiting for when they swap over from the GT1 blocks

Even more than a 911 GT1 or Carrera GT?
you forgot the Dauer LM (which was in essence a Porsche :P)
is there any possibility porsche will produce a facelifted GT2 before the new gen 911 arrives? They have done it with the GT3 and the Turbo, so... could mean more hp
