I'm sorry but that was the silliest comparison I've ever heard.

The early versions were unstable at high speeds, weren't them? Even a driver was killed IIRC. But by the time the 917K was released didn't all the problems had been sorted?

My definition of best was "most awesome" as Pando seemed to grasp.

No, that would be Nissan Skyline GT-R vs. (insert supercar).
I'm dropping out to create a company that starts with motorcycles, then cars, and forty years later signs a legendary Brazilian driver who has a public and expensive feud with his French teammate.

I've seen that before! Totally sweet Gulf livery.

Seriously though, how cool would it be to have a 917 on the road. I mean, it'd be a beast to drive, but you sure would look stylish when going to your buddies place or wherever. Talk about class.

No, I do know a very basic description of it but I don't have any first hand experience.

    *Looking it up on Wiki...*

So manga, anime and games huh well waddayaknow. Doesn't really interest me that much and I don't really feel like I've gotten any smarter.

There's a very good book on 917's and the Making of the Movie Le Mans
    "A French Kiss With Death"

As for road cars IMHO they are more suited for the track and should be driven with great respect as several have found out.

I think your Lola is quite the street car as well... Thing of beauty.

Actually some road going T70s were made by Sbarro.

Sbarro - I've heard their name thrown about but I don't know exactly who they are. An Italian coachbuilding company?

Anyway, I was just thinking how sweet Jim's brilliant blue T70 looked on the streets and that a fully refurbished 917 would be totally amazing as well.
