    Mercedes E55 AMG - V.S. - BMW M5

    Post your thoughts...

Oh, and focus on these two cars... no need to bring any other cars into the comparison!

    E55

According to most car magazine reviews, the M5 is the better car especially in the sports department. I personally prefer the Benz for its styling, power and simply coz im a big fan of the three pointed star !!

No point starting a poll if you are just going to disagree with everyone who voices opposing opinion. I go for the BMW, I prefer the styling and road manners, even though it is not as quick.

E55 AMG is available in automatic only.

    Therefore, the M5 wins.

I could expand my opinion vastly, but I thought I'd just whittle it down to that

    As of now...

I'd have to pick the Benz, but the new M5 is supposed to be absolutely vicious. Can't wait to see what it can do.
    Most wanted cars:

Ford GT, Aston Martin DB9, Nissan Skyline R-34 V-Spec II, 2004 SVT Cobra Mustang, VW Golf R32, TVR Cerbera 4.5, Ford Focus RS, Aston Martin Vanquish S

Still waiting.....Shelby Cobra, Shelby GR1, 2006 Ford Lightning, Next generation SVT Mustang Cobra 2006? Mazda Speed RX8

If you read my post, I said "I could expand my opinion vastly". I was going to mention some BMW technologies and styling, etc. But in the end, I do like the M5 better. I just don't really feel like writing an essay on why right now

In the 6 or 7 car magazine comparison tests I 've read so far, even the old & outgoing M5 beat the brand new E55 in at least half of the reviews, with the Audi RS6 winning most of them. M5 is the ultimate driver's car & sports sedan no question about it, & is the only car in this class with a manual transmission. The new V10 M5 would be even more awesome.

However I do prefer the styling of the new E class. I don't like the designs of the new BMW's.

maybe M5 is better than the new E55(i think it isn't)but RS6 clear isn't better(RS6 is expensive and weak)

So are you a German car or Mercedes car freak then? Just stating facts man, I didn't write those magazines' articles.

BTW, the magazine articles I'm referring to are in:

    1. Car & Driver
    2. Motor Trend
    3. Road & Track
    4. Automobile
    5. CAR
    6. EVO
    7. Top Gear

Look them up & the statements I made in my above post will be confirmed, & I didn't say anybody has to agree with them.
