Tomorrow morning I'm leaving for South America with a friend. We're flying in to Lima, Peru via Toronto (yeah, it's a bit backwards, but no US layover = sooo much less hassle). We'll be spending two months working our way south through Peru and Bolivia, and eventually to to Santiago, Chile where we'll fly out from.
If anyone cares enough to follow along, we'll be posting updates periodically on here: http://southtrip.blogspot.com/

Nope, definitely not. The only reason we'll be able to afford going to Chile is because we'll be staying with my friend's family. Chile and Argentina are basically like Europe in terms of travel costs! I'd love to visit other countries, of course, but that will come with time

Tickets in and out of the country are expensive and staying in the cities can be quite a bit too. Maybe it was a bit of an exaggeration saying it's like Europe, but it's relatively much more expensive than the other places we're visiting (particularly for a couple of starving university students)

We both worked for 2 years before going back to school. Now we're in between semesters and decided to travel while we still can. We're not starving yet, but we will be.Starving University students =/= 2 month vacation.

Argentina is one of the places in the world I really want to visit one day. Especially I am curious about a look at the factory my granddad started there in the late 50's
Don't forget to take plenty of pictures ! Also please get us a proper review of what the girls there are like !
