    Oh dear - hope your brothers ok Matra

    This is a nice looking space, it's got very modern touches - but it's going to date horrendously. and i don't think that, for a two floor apartment with ~8000sqft of flooring space, that they've used it well at all.

    the light-box floating essentially in the middle of the room is just tacky.

    Empty space gives a sense of grandness, which I'm betting the owner went for.

    The thing is there isn't that much empty space - save for some corner rooms.

    It just looks......overdone.

    Get a interior yacht designer to do a house interior, they know how to properly make use of the space given.

    Yeah, I heard about that. Best of luck towards your brother getting away from there.

    But still, you could just buy and build your own home for this amount of money.
