the downside to this game is that a lot of the guns don't feel 'meaty' enough. they just sort of fire. there is no sense of recoil or anything it's just PEWPEWPEWPEW you're firing but you don't really get the sense that you are. probably got a lot to do with the pissy gunshot noises (looking at you, shotgun).
on top of that the bullets hitting the enemy is not really...satisfying. it's like the first COD2, the enemies appear to be made out of paper.
the upside is that they have guns i like, it's fast paced and some brilliant levels (the ghillie suit and AC130 'puff the magic dragon' one). overall an excellent game. just needs some tweaks

this game is like a time eater, pop the game on and next thing you know you are 4-5 hours gone.....

ghillie suit level is probably the coolest FPS experience yet....

Oh man, what a great game! I clocked it yesterday and enjoyed every bullet-dodging, head-shooting second of it.

    Complaints?
Well it's a bit short, but what the heck I'll just start again from the beginning and replay the whole game.

I'm hoping an expansion pack is in the pipeline a la COD United Offensive, that would be good.

If you're into shooters, I think you can do (much) worse than picking up this game.

So yeah, COD4 has a Kooper stamp of approval.

I broke down and bought it for 360 today. Holy sweet eight pound ten ounce baby Jesus. This game rocks.

The Chernobyl mission alone makes this game worth getting. I've never been so tense as I was lying in the grass waiting for the tank to drive by me.

    And the AC130 Spectre mission...

Admittedly, the campaign is a bit short. I played through it on easy already, and started again on medium today. But I said the same about R6V and GRAW2.

    But man... I want moar!

MP is a blast. so many funny moments, and it's great hitting on a weapons/perk combo that really works (shotgun on countdown? who'd have thought)
however not being able to open/breach doors = fail. although it keeps the pace fast

Tonight me and Badda hooked it up for a while. Much hilarity ensued. As is usually the case when we're playing.

Stoned people, headshots, and helicopters. What more could you ask for?

PS I'm better than he is.
