I think it'll be lucky to just return profit TBH. Holden wouldve done much better selling the planned 50,000 G8s as a)they wouldve been higher profit private sales and b)the SWB models wouldve had a lower cost price. How much though? Are the cops really going to pay enough for them considering the cut throat deals they get with Ford for Crown Vics? As i said, G8 wouldve been tight on profit, this will be as much so if not tighter given its fleet intentions.

Statesmans and Caprices should not be confused with American large cars. These things handle pretty fine in standard trim and would be further enhanced for Police work one would imagine.

The brits don't buy a whole lot of them though - they're still very niche.
Back to FPV's point - the Profit margin is very much dependant on the Aussie Dollar Vs the US Dollar. the G8 wasn't that tight (they were, all things considered, priced similarly to what you would get in Australia) so I don't think this will be too much of a stretch. Remember what they cost to build a bigger model of they save in the fitout.
