On April 14, 2014, Nissan unveiled a third generation Murano at the New York Auto Show, with production of the vehicle to be built in Canton, Mississippi and arriving in dealerships in the fourth quarter of 2014. Inspired by the Resonance Concept that was on display at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show, the new Murano includes a toned-down "V-Motion" nose and the trademark boomerang-shaped light fixtures, along with a updated infotainment system and newer security features. The VQ-Series 3.5-liter V6 engine, which was introduced in the 2014 model year, will continued to be offered in the third generation version for the 2015 model year.
