Gotta love the Maserati Spyder and it's Pininfarina styling, it's teh way to go.
Don't get me wrong, I love Jag's fabulous supercar, and is worthy of being compared to many other exotics, but the Maserati has everything of the Jag's, a little less power yes, but more luxury, a trident that adds 20hp, and did I mention those Pininfarina looks?

Maserati only just, but if it was between the XKR Coupe and the Maserati Coupe the XKR would get my vote.

I'd go with the Maserati. It seems the more complete sports car, is more modern looking and seems to attract more attention than the XKR, even if it shakes a bit (Or so i'm told).

To me the XKR and indeed the XK8 has aged too quickly, if you look at the DB7, it was released in 1994, the XK8 in 1996, which looks older? the XK8....

i'd have the mazer simply because the xkr is far too common in england and the mazer outperforms it.

Yeah, the Maserati is probably great 'till it breaks down.

Styling by Pininfarina, electronics by Fiat...
    Thanks for all the fish

    A very good point.

However my "Man in the know" about these things has extensive business knowledge of both Fiat group, and Ford group vehicles, excepting Ferrari and Lancia.

His verdict is that although Ford is bad (an S-type he had suffered a flooded boot) Fiat is much much, oh so much worse.
    Thanks for all the fish
