Putting skinny tires on a C63 AMG.

I'm curious as to how much of an increase in perceived handling was caused by the decrease in unsprung weight.
The exercise looks and sounds fun, but their conclusions are false... and unsprung weight isn't even part of the equation. The handling didn't improve, just the sensation of control did because greater input was required to drive the car. The statement that decreasing the
tire section equates to an increase of power to weight is laughably wrong. What they have is a 451 hp, 3900 pound car with suspension carefully designed for 235/255 section tires doing what it will on less than half the rubber intended: greater rotational transitions under power or braking because the mass has far less grip. The math they should have illustrated is at the tire contact patch.

Very sleek design, I like it! Though it doesn't look anything like the old NSX. This car sure was one of the stars of the Detroit Auto Show, I hope it comes into production as another very cool Acura sports car.

I had a feeling there was some odd math there when he was talking about some 1200 hp car.
But it was an enjoyable video.
It really is funny how wide and huge tires are now. I remember my father complaining about 18 and 19 inch wheels for passenger cars when they first came out and saying that they're truck tires!
This car has a carbon fiber body, 7 liter V8 producing 620 hp, and weighs less than 2,800 lbs. Very cool car!
