I bought my apartment right before everything started, it already lost US $60,000 in value and will probably continue to go down.. *Sighs* should have rented.

Maybe it's time to mention the E-word.

I have one Euro in my wallet (from Republic of Ireland). It's probably worth AU$2.15. I was inside a branch of my bank today (actually, they are a credit union). I wonder if they would have given me about $2 for that 1 Euro coin. I paid $7.50 for an ATM card because I lost my license and my ATM card. I have to wait 5 working days for a new card and the card remains property of my financial institution. I wonder why you don't actually own the card when you are a member of a bank or a member of a credit union.

Also, I bought a lottery ticket. $30 million Lotto on Saturday, January 3rd.

last week i got Lord of the rings special editions for about 26€ and this week the special editions of all Alien movies for about 17€, Amazon uk as got some nice deals, specialy now that the pound is almost matching the euro.
