So I woke up this morning, the suns shining, birds chirping, girlfriends already at work, and I'm lucky enough to actually have a day off. So what a great day to remove some badges.

My original plan was to remove the "C" from Cobalt and move the "LS" part in front to spell "SLOBALT", but the L and S wouldn't fit without having one letter on the other side of a body line. In other words it looked like shit. So I removed all of them instead.

So it was pretty straight forward. Tools were my sisters hair dryer, a can of industrial 3M adhesive remover (don't buy the big $10 can if you ever decide to do this, the small one is plenty), fishing line, and a spray bottle of soapy water to remove the adhesive remover afterwards, oh and a towel, I used microfiber because I'm that damn good. Just heat the badge up with the hairdryer, floss it off with the fishing line, and then spray it with the adhesive remover to loosen the residue. After a minute of soaking it rubs right off.

Excuse the rain drops it just rained.

Definitely a great idea to remove the GM squares. I've been told by someone here that they like collecting dust. They do. Removing the Cobalt badge is not bad either, but mine will stay. Just don't put a 'SS' one Pat! The car looks cleaner without the badges.

When does SLOBALT go back on?
He came dancing across the water
    With his galleons and guns
    Looking for the new world
In that palace in the sun
    On the shore lay Montezuma
With his cocoa leaves and pearls

Anyone know a good adhesive that I don't have to cut into small pieces?

Just buy it in a sheet, slap the letters on, cut them out with an exacto knife then peel the other side off and put them on

If he wasn't such a sissy and would get coilovers, he could just do the L and it'd be "Lobalt."
