The Saturn Astra is a Vauxhall Astra with a different badge.

not an official one, but the car look too similar considering the chassis and the proportions they have in both 3 and 5 doors versions, critical dimensions are near identical, and internal components are the same in some parts. that's just my impression, but I'm pretty sure, I evaluated the idea for a while, looking at the cars with a "technical eye". I understand it isn't a real proof

but if you ask me, they share the chassis and other main parts.

EDIT: wiki says the Astra it's based on GM's own Delta platform. I don't know if it is connected with Fiat in any way, IIRC the Fiat Croma uses that platform for example, but I personally still think the Astra and Stilo have more in common than what it seems or they could say.
Even the new Bravo seems to be based on the old Stilo, but I'm not sure about that.

Fiat Stilo and Opel Astra data from wiki

Is that the car they hope will save them?

    Really?

Croma is on Epsilon, which is Vectra's.

And new Bravo is on a (reworked) Stilo's platform.

Two of us, actually. It's certainly an improvement over the base model cobalts from my experience and from reading magazine articles. I'm waiting on the SS version before fully approving, though.

Make that a 2 and a half lol it still has the "I'm going to eat you" grill, it certainly looks the part. The interior is superb it would be great if the coffee colored areas of the dash and door panels were leather. I hope that the SS trim won't be ruined, because I have a strong feeling Chevy will be compelled to put on a tasteless body kit and 332525774.5 "SS" emblems on it.

Why do I think Vauxhaul when I look at it?

What a shame you don't like small cars guys. Because this is considered average at most here. It's not particularly interesting, innovative or revolutionary.
