    If they did buy Lotus I wonder if they'd rename the F1 team...

    Lotus F1 cars without lotus technologies? I think they'd wait a bit before they did that.

    .They should concentrate on their racing programmes more, so they can get some more recognition through success in racing

    No, they should dump the racing programs and focus on building road cars which is what they are "trying" to produce. There is no money in racing, never has been.

    If they really wanted to go racing they should stick to sports cars. As big of a technological mammoth F1 seems to be, it is more of a pissing contest between the teams, Rather then a racing series.

    I doubt that useless Proton would sell Lotus. However I'm not very optimistic on Spyker to buy Lotus. A brand which had more heritage and is at least more well known than Spyker itself.

    What about those rumours which said that Volkswagen might buy Lotus (Proton). Have those evaporated?
