3 previews of the new career mode have been put up on IGN.com. Sounds promising.

    Key info from those articles:
    All Cars unlocked from beginning.

A clutch button (LB) on the controller. And apparently using it is faster (also harder) as there is no gap in changing gears.

"Forza's Career Mode is dynamic, changing week-to-week based on what cars you own, what types of races you like to drive and how you drive...the car you select determines not only the first set of races available to you, but begins to shape the rest of your season. It also has an impact on the cars gifted to you as you progress through your career" If you stay away from drag racing events for example, they eventually go away. Don't worry about missing events though as at any point in the game you can ignore the season calendar and bring up a master grid of all 220 events. It lists every open race and, at any time, you can race those.

There are six standard seasons. The first season for example has 5 events and each event has 3-6 (although later it can be upto 10) races and lasts 2 in-game weeks. At the end of every other weekend there is a weekend championship, these championships don't dynamically change. At the end of six seasons your are still not done, actually you are only 1/3 of the way through as there are still 150 unique events to go.

Auto-tuning and auto-upgrading for casual gamers. You just select the level you want it upgraded to.

For hardcore racers, the tuning has been expanded to 175 upgrades (50% more than Forza 2). And there are more consequences for poorly tuning your car.

Auction house remains although there is a new "Storefront" for selling items, you just list the price and how many you want to sell.

220 events in career mode, which would be like anywhere from 700-1400 races.

More realistic car pricing than Forza 2, isn't based purely on performance, so a corvette is going to be cheaper than a 911.

"Over 60 rules that can be set for a multiplayer match such as forcing teams of any size (all against one, three-on-three, whatever you want), give one person the "heavy" car and the others faster vehicles. You can force specific camera modes if you want everyone to play from the dashboard view and even require the use of manual transmission with the clutch. Modes such as Cat & Mouse and Capture the flag.

An AI pressure system - Forcing a car to make mistakes if you're putting pressure on them, it makes them feel more realistic. The lower the difficulty level, the easier to get them to make a mistake. And the cars can do it with each other not just you doing it.

Rewind function - If you ever mess up then you zip time back roughly five seconds by prssing the back button. There is no penalty for rewind. There's no monetary reward for not using it. You don't ever have to use it or you can use it 200 times in a race.

Like he said though there will be no pressure on you when you're in front, because if you mess up you can just press the rewind button. Wish it was like an assist that you could turn off. Just knowing that if i mess up then it's over is a great feeling

And it is also what makes the racing so intense. With it, I just dont imagine my fingers will be trembling like they would near the end of a 40 minute race with competition right on my heels.

I think if they used real world numbers there'd be arguements about which region's pricing to base it on. Having it with strangely nebulous credits as a currency allows them to average things out, I guess.
