FWIW, the media has largely seemed determined to portray OWS protesters uniformly as granola-crunching hacky-sacks. There surely are some neo-anarchist/pretend commies among them, but in large measure the portrait is false. Many of my school teacher/police/blue-collar friends (many of whom are Republican) have watched their pensions go to squat because of a banking system that has been systematically de-regulated to produce profit at the expense of safety. The argument for parity and strong financial regulation is more cogent than the nebulous "take our country back" posturing of tea-party types. If anything, they should be protesting too. It's remarkable that people (Americans in particular) can so easily be moved to act against their own best interests.
The best lie the devil ever told was that he didn't exist? The best lie right-wingers ever told is that their ideals were good for working people...

    Or something.

RM, the image you posted is kinda silly. Fact is, there are tons of people that are hugely disadvantaged and don't get even the option to get to that level. Many people do try very hard to succeed in school, and in life, and still fail. The "pull yourself up by your bootstraps shit" is a very simplistic solution to a complex problem that frankly doesn't work.

I don't know if I buy that entirely. In the older days where other less skill oriented jobs were available, a lot of people chose to go away from school because why make the sacrifice in time and money to get higher education, when you can work as a labor and get benefits and pay to have a good life. A lot of those are now in the position of not being able to transition into the new job market as they are simply not qualified for it. In US they have the problem of college level education is really expensive(almost an order of magnitude more than Canada in some cases), so maybe there is more of an argument there(which makes IMO, the protesters in Toronto seems even sillier, as I myself can attest, I went to UofT on government loan and bursary, we don't even face the same issue of the "Occupy" people down south face. In Canada, if you WANT a higher education, with all the associated future prospects, note the choice you have to make, by "WANTING" it, thus working FOR it, there are ways of getting you there. Its all in the system.). People choose a life they lead, no one points a gun at their head to make those choices. There are things out of your control, but there are plenty of things that are in your own 2 hands. The whole "I've tried nothing and I don't like my options so I do nothing" attitude is pathetic. How many of these people are saying the system doesn't work so I don't participate in it? Same as all the complaints after Federal Election in Canada that Conservatives won but they don't represent the people. But the same "people" don't go out and vote?

Yes it sucks that non of the Wall Street bankers gets their fair share of punishements, and that I heartily agree with, but a lot of other muddled points and voices in these protests are not related to that. Goes back to the same issue of how these people don't seem to necessarily grasp what their core belief is....At least Tea Party nut jobs are sticking to their crazy nut job belief....

For normal people: Teenage drama. Girl A likes Boy B and she can't show him so for whatever reason (e.g. society, etc). So she's mean to him. Gradually she'll start warming up and they engage in cliched romance which will eventually result in there being a highly pornographic fan-made version involving Black men and things that would make a dominatrix blush.

No St. Andrew's Cross to balance out the tricolor?

What does the sticker on the fender say?

982736402938hellcat you know what St Andrew's cross is!?!?!? Technically (biologically?), I was made in the 80s. I am, however, not loved by the ladies. I as a sad.

Matra, I didn't even recognize you in the action shot of the PZ Rex, intently looking at the door handle.

That lawn makes me want to play N64 vintage Mario Golf. I achieved unity with a game whilst playing that. No one could ever put as fine as my Yoshi. I have only ever done that with one other game; F Zero GX. Well, maybe F Zero X. And F Zero. I made it my mission to beat those games entirely.

F Zero GX was comically hard at parts.

EDIT: Previous two paragraphs are rambling. Also Matra, I still have the stickers!
