    $300,000 or a McLaren SLR?

    Raffle Website

$100 for a chance to win a SLR McLaren supercar, or the option of $300,000.

There are only 1500 SLR's in the U.S.

Toys for Tots is the Marine Corps Reserve organization that donates new toys to underprivileged families for the holidays (you may have seen the comercial in the states).

I can't enter, otherwise, maybe the SLR can be sold for more than $300,000? Plus hey, you only live once...$300,000 is not a lot of money for me to ever have the chance to drive such a car.

Your poll answers make little sense, it's not a yes/no question..

Probably the SLR, have a bit of fun in it, then sell it to a footballist. It's not the supercar I'd choose anyway, but it would certainly be a laugh to have a fang around in.

I would probably take the 300k because I could not afford taxes, maintenance on said vehicle. Though maybe I could take it around the block at least? If the condition is great though, it may sell for more than 300k (do you pay capital gains on a car if you sell it for over a certain price?)

SLR. In the US, the taxes would eat up a huge chunk of the 300K.
Or, I could move to mexico, take the 300K and wire it to the US account, where it will collect interest, so 20 years later, I'll be able to buy whatever overpriced fire-prone supercar churned out by Ferrari.
I'm dropping out to create a company that starts with motorcycles, then cars, and forty years later signs a legendary Brazilian driver who has a public and expensive feud with his French teammate.

Yes I won't drive it again...? What?

Give me the car, $100 would mean basically 100% profit on a car that'd be brand new and can therefore sell for probably more then $300,000 :-p

If I had 300k to spend, I would not only buy that car, from them, then auction it off and give them the proceeds.

I'd take the money and buy something with a manual transmission.

I would much rather prefer a muscle car over a SLR.

Yeah, I'd take the car too. I'd have a couple nice drives with it, get a barn and hide it there until I sell it, whenever that day comes. Every now and then I take it out for a drive and it's all good.

Those were some of the worst poll options of all-time. They were completely indistinct. "$300,000 or a McLaren SLR"? - "Yes, no question." Which one?

    1. Get SLR

    2. eBay SLR - Reserve price = $300,000 (they usually seem to sell for about $20,000 more)

    3. Make the money without paying massive lottery taxes

    4. Buy a real car with a manual transmission
