    Geneva: Ferrari LaFerrari revealed ...

This morning at the Geneva Motor Show, Ferrari have launched their new range-topping supercar. Simply known as LaFerrari, it follows in the limited production footsteps of the Enzo, F50 and F40. Built around a sophisticated and light carbon-fibre monocoque chassis, it boasts a highly advanced, Formula 1 inspired, hybrid drivetrain. This consists of a naturally aspirated V12 and an electric motor mounted behind the seven-speed, dual clutch gearbox. Combined, the two engines produce a staggering 950 bhp and 900 Nm of torque. This enables the new Ferrari to accelerate to 100 km/h in under 3 seconds, while the top-speed is in excess of 350 km/h. By comparison, it is a full five seconds faster around Ferrari's Fiorano circuit than the Enzo. The potent machine is clothed in a carbon-fibre body. Created in-house, the design was clearly drive by function although there are numerous interesting cues, of which some hark back to its predecessors. Also part of the design is an active aerodynamics package, with adjustable diffusers and wings on both the front and rear. Judging from a plaque inside the car, production is limited to just 499 examples.
We braved the crowd to capture every angle of the Ferrari LaFerrari right after it was launched. The result is this 24-shot gallery, featuring the exterior, interior and full engine details.

If you should see a man walking down a crowded street talking aloud to himself, don't run in the opposite direction, but run towards him, because he's a poet. You have nothing to fear from the poet - but the truth.
