That's because there are no PC fanboys. I'm just like most PC enthusiasts, we're all fanboys of better quality and performance. If a console can provide that I'd definitely migrate to it.

I don't need to go out and spend big on a PC because gaming doesn't make up a large part of my free time. I do agree though that PCs provide the better gaming experience.
GTA on PC is 200% better with mods and online multiplayer. Go get San Andreas and download SA:MP and see for yourself, the game itself has very low requirements so don't worry about the performance, plus you can use a gamepad anyway, that's what I use for GTA.

I didn't mean to direct it at you, what I really meant was that all you people are calling us PC fanboys without realizing that there are too much console fanboys around here.

Think about it, the average home computer is about $1000. If one doesn't spend hundreds on a so-called "next-gen" console, he can ultimately combine that money with the $1000 to get a decent PC. I can build a PC with Core 2 Duo, 2GB of DDR2-800, X-Fi, and a 8800GTS all for about $1000. PC parts are getting cheaper and cheaper these days (thanks to manufacturers being fined for bumping up prices too much every generation), but the real problem is that consoles are way too expensive for what they are, especially the accessories. Controllers used to be about $20-30, but nowadays they're $40-60, even when it comes to the cheap Wii. Not to mention most of these new consoles don't even have 100% backward compatibility, where PC does, because it's just the same platform, I can still play the original Doom.

You need a PS3 to get laid? I don't want to play Blu ray disks though. To get a PS3, Sony is forcing me to buy a Blu Ray player which I don't want. They are trying to use my PS3 purchase to win the format war. I want a gaming console not a Blu Ray player. However, I do support Blu Ray over HD-DVD. In my eyes it would be prudent to see the outcome of the format war before building a Blu Ray library, as I imagine some PS3 owners have begun to do.

I got it recently I've modded a few cars which was cool, but I haven't got as far as putting the multi-player in.

Why don't you want one if you support it? What better way to support the brand you want to win than by buying it?

Fair enough. But you still have a gaming console.

I've got about 15-17 movies on BD already. BD is outselling HDDVD 2:1 and has more new content coming out more frequently. The war's going to be over soon. And a large part of it has to do with Sony's huge installed base through PS3.

Oh, and not even a PS3 helps me on that getting laid front.

Yes I support it, but Sony's tactics on getting it into my living room are questionable.

Actually, this article from Slashgear (April 26th) says they are pretty close. I've also read, however, that Blu Ray holds the top 10 spots in HD sales.

According to the official numbers there have been 998,059 HD DVDs sold thus far. Combine that with the fact that some HD DVD players are being sold for close to $300, I’d say Blu-ray still has a long way to go before they can declare victory.

HDDVD had a huge headstart. BluRay caught them and passed them.

The porn industry will not play as major of a role this time around like it did with VHS/Betamax, bexcause of this new-fangled thing called the Internet. I'm not sure what an Internet is, or where you buy the Internet player at, but the vast majority of porn video sales is now through it instead of traditional VHS/DVD media.

Don't ask why I know that.

That was only an example, apparently the X360 can't play 100% of the original Xbox's games, but rather only the ones on this list: http://www.xbox.com/en-US/games/back...ygameslist.htm

And PC doesn't have regional limitations.
