Installed on highest graphics and was expecting a level of lag but it runs smoother than a babys behind. Started with the Alfa V6. Just waiting for my 360 controller to arrive, then i can really play it
I started with the GT as well. Wonderful engine.

Me too, though there wasn't really much to choose from in the beginning.

I'm getting some lag, but on lower settings it's somewhat playable. I can imagine it would look amazing running on some high-end pc instead of my laptop.

A few issues with my gaming experience:
can bikes really knock cars of the road, reverse is notoriously hard to engage in auto mode, playing with different cars and driving aid settings on track near airport i find it hard to drift. I have tried different wheel settings and hardcore mode. Otherwise fine

Whats the best way to change your vehicle? by searching cumbersomely through your houses or starting a race and backing out once youve changed. I find this part annoying because on hardcore mode you cant see single player races.

Probably the easiest way is to just go home, into the garage and select the car. Otherwise the only other way is the way you stated.

I'm yet to use the game with the 360 controller, but even with keyboard its still enjoyable. I'm quite impressed with the level of detail. And how well ported the game is. Very smooth and no glitches on PC.

After the Alfa GT i got greedy and bought myself a Golf R32. At the time i didnt realise I had to buy a Group E car next, so that was a waste of money. I had to do some more races before i bought the Mustang GT convertible. Now I'm cruising through the Group E races

Well i got hold of my xbox 360 controller yesterday for PC. It works a dream. Especially with test drive:unlimited and R6:Vegas. There is software you can buy for £10 that configures it to any game that doesnt support gamepads which is also cool. And a 3rd party mod to enable force feedback

Good to hear, I was wondering about the compatibility.

Yeah. With games that are already on Xbox 360, it seems to automatically reckognise it. I'm not sure if thats an inevitable part of porting a game from 360 to PC, but it works great.

In essence, its like having a 360 on your pc

The "old school" Need for Speed SE (Special Edition) is my favourite PC racing/driving game. I used to love playing that game.
