I wouldn't go that far but they're already running .2 Bar above the ideal pressure, just to even out the tire thread. And it's using Michelin fuel savers

I thought I would do a check of the fuel mileage my '66 Plymouth Fury with 383-4 bbl V-8. I didn't expect 20 mpg; I just wanted to see what the figure is.

It calculated to 11.04 mpg. That did include some heavy acceleration and one or two short burnouts. Car magazines tests of the era listed 10-15 mpg, with a 13 mpg average.

Makes me think... maybe I should have looked for a '66 Plymouth with a 318-2 bbl V-8! My brother owned one of those and averaged 15 mpg. But I guess 11.04 mpg is acceptable since my car is not a daily driver. And I do like the torque of the 383 big-block. I will just try to control my right foot (most of the time).

In the last tank I decided to not pay attention to my right foot.

The car managed 10,3l/100km.

I'm puzzled.

When I went to visit my girlfriend in Indiana last week I managed 40 mpg on the way there. I had filled up with mid-grade before left and light traffic returned me the best mpg I've ever gotten in my car!

I've been getting about 28 MPG my last few tank....the chipping didn't seem to have affected it much(self control works).

720km from a tank in the GT3, works out to 11l/100km combined. not bad.

2010 Fiat Ducato 2.3 Multijet

Average of 10.5 L/100KM over a distance of 4897 km of highly mixed traffic. Anything between long sections of off-roading at bulk terminals at 30km/h and long cruising at 100 km/h (on the speed limiter all the way to Zeebrugge..).

I just got 35 mpg off regular gas and driving around town. Not too shabby!!

Last weekend we took our freshly restored 911 Targa for a long drive. The engine was pretty well bedded in at 500 miles and runs well; typical Weber IDA cold starts but idles cleanly after 30 seconds or so. Returned 25.6MPG over a 150 mile run, with the new AC system on. Very satisfied everything works as expected.

This afternoon I had to go to a couple of places quite far from Barcelona. I did 308km and used up 28,7 litres of fuel. This works out at 9,3l/100km (30mpg UK / 25mpg US).

I was quite pleasantly surprised.

I did about 600 kms of mountain roadas in my MX-5 this weekend. With petrol priced at 1,60€ I've decided I didn't want to know how much fuel it was consuming. It was great!
