Ariel Atom got optional windshield. Top and windows coming up next?

IMO some one-piece Lexan body panels like those on the prototype Atom 3

would weight almost nothing yet improve practicality a lot.

Do you think would Ariel move this way?

That's barely a windshield. If anything, it'll probably be a roll-up type top/window setup like a Caterham. But to be honest, I doubt they'll do any hard top and windows as that sort of defeats the purpose of buying an Atom.
I'm dropping out to create a company that starts with motorcycles, then cars, and forty years later signs a legendary Brazilian driver who has a public and expensive feud with his French teammate.

This. The Atom's as successful as it is because it's like nothing else, if they dilute the car in any way, it's giving people less and less reason to buy one.
Buying a car and not driving it is like buying a meal and not eating it.

The designer of the Dironda which was also exo-skeleton reckoned he had a clever "transformation options" for the customer.
So you could purchase ADD-ON components to make it more street friendly which coudl be quickly removed at track and returned to exo-skeleton lightweight rawness.
side pods that filled out to wheels to provide extra storage and crash protection.
Windscreen with built in wiper was a neat solution.
Don't think he ever got enough orders to extend the design ideas into production.
But coudl make a nice "after market" opportunity with the Atom I reckon

A little lip like that probably helps diverting the air away from the helmet and stops it from buffeting at speed.....The tubeframe enclosure looks kinda like what 340R had.....

It's not such a bad thing is it.
