ALMS: Peugeot Confirms Two Cars for Petit Le Mans

As SPEEDtv.com predicted a week ago, the French Peugeot team will battle for honors at October's 'Green Challenge' at Petit Le Mans.

    Aww yeah that'll be sweet.

Thanks for the inside info again MPME.

EDIT: Is Road America a track where the LMP2s will be able to contest for the win?

I hope so, as a 4 way battle for the win would be stellar.

Glad to hear it since anything that competes against the Audi is great, but it seems odd they'd be racing in a country where they don't sell their cars...

They're going after the 'Green Challenge'. Audi's not racing the R10 in '09 at Le Mans as I'm told, and as I've written, so Peugeot knows there's nothing to learn by racing against that car for 10hrs.

Granted, they do have A LOT to learn about strategy from Audi at a long race like Petit...

Looking at how close Porsche was last year and how much faster the class has gotten this year, it will be a heck of a duel, but expect the 908's to blitz the field.
