lmao, we were actually thinking of buying an organized tour. They seem logical for people like us that don't have the first clue of where we're going. After seeing Wolf Creek I don't want to take any chances . Starting point is Sydney, and we were thinking of taking it up north from there. All I know is I have to surf and scuba dive. Aquatic life is another passion of mine.

not even kidding. so many people drive off into national parks and trails without telling anyone, get stranded, noone knows where they've gone..

head to cairns and take a charter boat to do scuba diving, then head to the gold coast for surfing (come say hi!)
also: don't be tempted to drive there & back, it's longer than it looks. my english relatives had no idea it took 12-14 hours to drive between brisbane and sydney used to UK distances..

I don't think we'll be doing any driving, although my friend's return flight is booked for April, so he might buy a van while we're there lol. The travel agent mentioned cairns to us today, so there's a good chance we'll go there. I definitely want to meet you guys. I think that'd be awesome. Maybe PM me some good advice so I have a better chance of living. I bought myself full insurance coverage, so I can get stung, partially eaten, poisoned, and I won't go poor in the process.

What great timing - I think theres a car event in Melbourne in october to attend.

This gives me onus to head north for spring as well.

Yea.. I hear it's lovely anywhere other than Canberra that time of year.

You know, the times of year that are part of a year.

Canberra is lovely in autumn, and spring.

Summer is retardedly hot, winter retardedly cold.

Also, quite dull. Still, beats living in Western Sydney.

Max I've experienced was 39 degrees.

    Coldest - -11.

    Centigrade, obviously.

Luckily i'm a born desert dweller, so this doesn't faze me.

    39? Is that all?

50+, me. The hills above Perth, back when summers was proper hot and dry. Though you beat me on cold, I got barely below 0. I'm a pilbara kid, basically cold blooded.

It's a bit like that. I tell you what, lets agree that as long as it's dry, how hot it is doesn't matter.
