I think this is pretty good looking car, at least by the standard of these modern specialized model from 288GTO and up. Only one I think looks better is F40...

Don't like this one at all. It's not good-looking, I'd rather just have a straight gas engine, and something about that name makes me think of a toy poodle dyed pink. I'll take a 456, 355, or nearly and 250 any day, thanks.

    288~F40>Enzo>LaFerrari>F50.

The last two are particularly bad though.

288 is the best looking of them all by far, but it is in a class of its own. While it can be considered genesis, it's possibly not as supercarish as the others, more like a Dino on steroids. The proper supercar is the F40.

Which, by the way, I don't know what people see in it. It doesn't look bad but the rear spoiler... well... kind of spoils it.

That's the problem with naming generic nameplates from the 50's...

I personally would not put Enzo in front of this....Enzo never striked me as good looking. I've grown to its dramatic presence having seen it in person, but its just not that good looking. This thing at least have some flow to its look. Frankly I think in its respective time its about as good as the 288 GTO.

456 is the blandest modern Ferrari for me...

    Go check again. Immediately.

Seriously, the F40 must be one of the best looking supercars ever IMO with its aggressive but beautiful Pininfarina lines.

The spoiler is there with a purpose with 478 bhp on tap (not on riced Civic's - I agree) and to me it looks fully functional without being overdone. But hey - that's me.

Remember it was not the era of completely streamlined aerodynamic advanced designs of today, which I frankly do not care for at all.

Below another F40 perfect example, just look at it

The 456 is the Skoda Rapid of Ferrari.

Handsome, understated, elegant and quite a lot more expensive than you think it is.

    Probably.

I like my cars spoilerless. I like the clean lines of the sixties or the voluptous curves of the 30's. In terms of styling the 80's were a bad decade; they were much better in terms of engineering.

It's also lacking 4 cylinders for a Ferrari.

To be brutally honest I've never been too interested in mid engined Ferraris. Front enigned V12 is where it's at, for me.

Not that I am a Ferrari bloke anyway.

Eat your heart out with the below picture.

But seriously I would not consider engine configuration to be the only benchmark to distinguish a 'real' Ferrari. Whatever that might be. There are many great 8, 6 and even 4-cilinder examples which I would like to lay my fingers on. I would be glad if I could afford any of them though.

I guess the 'real' Alfa's for you also end after the 75, no?
And each 'real' Citroën should have that funny suspension thing?

The 30's and 60's had many beautiful cars, but boxy styling does work for me as well, hence I like most of the designs from the 80's while others find them horrid. The F40 is in a completely different league though.

Anyone notice how much more the mirrors protrude from the pic in the showroom as compared to the render looking pic from the same angle? (first pic in bpth posts)... odd...

As someone mentioned before, some lines are exquisite (look at that roof!!), other parts are a way too busy (front side).

oh what the hell is up with the name? seriously ...
