holy shit balls yes. An entire clan used sheilds against us. Perhaps the best fun I've ever had.

game starts, i run down side of the map, hit a solid phalanx of riot shields, spartan style. backpedal like mad as my bullets bounce off it laughing my ass off yelling for help LOL. so funny, that clan was awesome

The part I was amused by was that semtex really loves to stick to riot sheilds.

That and when drowning turkey grabbed one of their shields and used it against them, bouncing from one to the other because it didnt do much damage.

yeah parrying with riot shields does nothing, you just bounce the shields off each other making hollow 'thonk' noises. i.e. the snow level we did right after, when everyone used shields and charged towards each other in the middle, medieval style

Finally played this after steam unlocked last night...had to go to work so ended up waiting one more day...

So far only played SP, only one word to describe it, hectic....its non-stop sensory blasting from gun shot, explosion, radio chatter, blood splatter...etc. Its a lot more hectic than MW1.....fun yes, but a lot of time I am really lost...the Rio mission was crazy, since there are no way for you to really take cover as the place is just blanketed with tango from everywhere....doesn't help that I haven't played any PC FPS in months, and the slow, go-at-your-pace PS3 third person games like MGS4 or Uncharted 2 made me a lot less alert.....

Gonna fire up the MP and Spec-Op over the weekend to see how that goes...

Just an FYI on the performance, the game runs ok on my PC(Q6600 OCed to 3ghz, 4gb, SLI 9600GT 512MB), but it stutters in some scene(runnung full feature, no AA, 1680x1050 Vsynced), particularly noticable in the snow scene at the sub-base, and the burning DC after the bang. MW1 runs smoother, but this is prettier to look at...

Left4Dead2: So good. If you like the first, you love this.. it's definately a worthy successor and not just a content pack. Only played the first arc thus far, but it's already more varied than the first, the melee weapons are great fun.. definately worthwhile having. For Aussies on PC, it seems if you get your copy gifted from the States or whatever you'll get the full, uncensored release.. I had mine gifted about a month ago and I got the full on proper one.
