Ive never seen that picture before so its new to me Great picture .. never knew there was an EB110 Prototype .. looks quite different to the production version.
Actually there are 3 different EB110 prototypes, and I've seen them all in a carmuseum in the Netherlands And here are the pics I took (sorry for the bad quality):
I think Koenigsegg is Swedish for: "Oh no, my head's just exploded!"

Very interesting car I've been tring to get some info on it for ages.
I kind of like the way it looks. That is actually the original Gandini design which the than Bugatti boss Romano Artioly didn't quite liked. The final design was done inhouse after Gandini left the project.
Here's a pic of it in the Edonis factory:

It seems that it went trough some modifications.
Woops... why did you revive an old thread...

If you should see a man walking down a crowded street talking aloud to himself, don't run in the opposite direction, but run towards him, because he's a poet. You have nothing to fear from the poet - but the truth.
(Ted Joans)
If memory serves, Artioli hat the entire car re- designed after spy shots of the first Gandini- designed test mules had leaked to the public long before presentation, so they subsequently used the Gandini designed prototypes as test beds for the in- house designed EB 110 the features of which actually remained secret until presentation.
But those wheels- anyone else noticed this distinct Bucciali flavour?

the eb110 was always my favorite supercar and probably always will be.
im surprised by how much the prototype looks like an xj220.

the silver prototype. its got those slits on the hood just like the xj, the popup headlights are pretty similar to the xj. it seems to have that low-elongated shape more like an xj (although not nearly as much) than what the production version looked like.
i mean they are not an exact match but the prototype (to me) looks closer to the xj220 than it does to the production eb110

apart from the side vents on the hood, I think that prototype looks more like on F40 than an XJ220. the Jag is much more curvaceous, it has a very soft shape, will the prototype is quite geometrical, with an horizontal profile and squared front end.

thats true it does look a lot like an f40 too i didn't even notice that. whatever it looks like, im glad they went with the body the ended up using.
does anyone have access to that road and track article where they compared the eb110, the xj220, the diablo, and the 456gt? that was one of the best road and tracks ever and i had it when i was a kid but i havent seen it in years
