    Ferrari Meet

    went to a small gathering earlier today. i got a ride in a 360 Challenge Stradale and a 308 GTB. unfortunately it was pouring for most of the time.

    what was the 308 like out of interest?? I wanna know all the bad stuff..... how dirrrty was she? i.e noise, roughness....

    it was nice. the only thing that really struck me about being rough was the gated shifter and how different it was from the F1 paddles. the 308 was acutally much much quieter than the 360CS. the CS has almost no sound deadening, no carpets, just bare carbon fiber between you and the ground, so the noise of everything that was kicked up under the car and in the wheel wells made it into the car. the CS obvisouly also has a much larger and noisier engine. 308 also seemed to go over bumps in the road smoother than the stiff suspension on the CS.

    cool... must have been a most memorable day out.. Ferrari must be making the effort with the new cars... its good to see some manufacturers are trying to keep the experience alive, i went out in one of the first 360's ('99 passenger) it wasnt as exiting as i hoped for, maybe it was my expectations too high?
