    Subaru WRX (4th gen) 2014-

Subaru has decided to move away from pairing the WRX and WRX STI under the Impreza brand name, but unlike Subaru's promise to making the WRX and STi models being a totally unique model, they instead chose to simply alter the Impreza's body, and chassis. Subaru has also decided to not produce a WRX or WRX STi wagon as had been previously offered. The wagon made up approximately 50% of US WRX and WRX STi sales.

    Previous versions
Subaru Impreza WRX (1ste gen) 1992-2000 (not yet in hideout)
Subaru Impreza WRX (2nd gen) 2000–2007
Subaru Impreza WRX (3rd gen) 2007-2013

I wouldn't call them ugly, I would call it bland.

But I'd rather have a WRX STI than no STI at all. The no WRX wagon is only a slight problem, the engine hasn't changed so it's just a parts swap.

*AHEM* Mitsubishi- What happened to the Lancer Evo?

And do you think we'd rather buy a glorified golf cart and a stupid crossover SUV?

With Germany making some crazy powered cars, I have no idea why Mitsubishi axed the only car worth looking at.

Mostly because people only bought the German ones.
Life's too short to drive bad cars.

I'd prefer to have no venereal diseases. Ba-dum tish!

Seriously though, when I was younger a car like an STI or Evo would interest me (even then, not so much), now I think they are just boy racery.

I agree wholeheartedly. Back then, it was fun seeing one as they were rather rare. Now I'm thoroughly unimpressed.

It's a sedan with a wing and a small turbo four. No.

I'd be steered more towards the BRZ in the corner of the show room.

I am pretty ambivalent towards Imprevolutions as well, but they certainly have their charms. Sliding around in the snow in my roomate's WRX (as a passenger) is a lot of fun.

The way it builds boost is nowhere near as much fun as the way my SPG did it, but it's certainly fun in its own right.

As an engineer working at a large engineering company, the parking lot is chock-full of them; something about sedan/hatch practicality, AWD practicality and performance, and speed via boost seems to tick all the right boxes for a young engineer with a few shekels to burn (hence: my roomate's Wrex).
"Kimi, can you improve on your [race] finish?"
"No. My Finnish is fine; I am from Finland. Do you have any water?"

I like the BRZ too, but a sedan would be much more practical for me.

It ticks a lot of good boxes for me too. The BRZ is nice, but just might be on the small side of things.

Bleh. Then become comfortable in your oldmanness and get a wagon, or become a youth and get a FiST or FoST.

    1990 Saab 900 SPG.
I had it for six months and it ran well and was quite fun to drive and work on (Saab has to be one of the most deliberately contrarian automakers as far as hardware and processes go, which makes wrenching interesting...), but due to some issues I had to part ways with it. The money I got from selling it helped purchase my bike. (#postwhoring, or whatever you kids call it)

Is the Celica still in your posession? Are you now at the part of human car enthusiast development where you have enough money to burn through 10 used cars in a row and curse electronics?

    Nope, still have the Supra.
I am looking at getting a B-Body, 1st-gen. Insight, Miata, another Saab, or something. Currently funds are a bit low, so that will probably wait until the tail end of the summer.
