i think pic #2 in the first one is a '58-60 250 Testa Rossa for racing. the pontoon body of the '57 was abandoned due to por aerodynamics.

but im just guessing that this is that. i am too lazy to research it right now.

The '98 cars had grooved tyres, had mandatory video cameras on the roll-hoop and were a lot narrower. Nice try though.
errr... i've been thinking, and it seems that it's neither F300 nor F310B. if you notice the airbox, it is different from the F300 or F310.

The second is a 290MM, it has a Mille Miglia starting number (indicating its departure time) and should therefore be built before 1957. (1956 was the last official MM, then cancelled due to the fatal crash of Alfonso de Portago), so it is not Testa Rossa of any kind.

Actually it's the 1957 MM winning 315 S, which is based on the 290 MM.
If you should see a man walking down a crowded street talking aloud to himself, don't run in the opposite direction, but run towards him, because he's a poet. You have nothing to fear from the poet - but the truth.

always heartening to see that the primary source of my information is correcting himself . I was wrong though about the date of the last MM.

As a newcomer, just surfing around the UCP forums to find topics to add some info.
The car was brand new and has chassis Tipo 520B, nē 0684.
290MM sported actually chassisTipo 520 and very different Scaglietti body. Certainly, I'm not a vintage racing Ferrari expert (who is?), but AFAIK, the only 290MM convertd to 315 S was chassis nē 0646.
