hard to find more than a few shots and all lo-res ... but i would dearly like to get an idea of its proportions (too short?) and how it would fit in ferrari-tojeiro-ac sequence. Debut @ London 1953, i think.
thanks in advance - steven
Here you are, three different ones, the racing one is a regular at the Monterey Historics

sorry Henk - thank you for a prompt and gracious response - but the Rx factor is what makes this a difficult request - there were i think only four R4s built (at least one in steel but also in plastic ) - designed by Roy Lunn.
Don't know what happened with any R3s but the R1 and R2 ran at Le Mans (and won) and also in the US ...
Sorry about that, I am not particularly versed in Jowett history, but I saw this one in 2008 at the Goodwood Revival. It was labelled R1. so is that one of the Le Mans cars?
Edit: I now see what you mean, on the cover of the Nankivell book is the white R4, registered R4 JUP. Is that still around somewhere?

thank you - aren't they cute? and correct. History - AFAIK ...
Javelin - 4-door, 6 pax - was designed for post-war export but did 1949 Monte Carlo and Spa 24hr.
Jupiter, the 2-door sports-car - space-frame designer ex Auto-Union - class win and record 1950 Le Mans.
Jupiter R1 (cycle-guards) - dnf(?) Le Mans but did well at Watkins Glen in '51 - while a more regular Jupiter won its class again at Sarthe - and the R (-R2?) came good the next year, like the one that's in your photo.
As to the R4 i think so - only started on this subject a few hours ago ...

Hi there, guys,
I'm looking for some better images of the Roush IMSA Mustangs, preferably the Motorcraft car. This one: http://www.rtrestorations.net/Gallery/Images/05.jpg
I already looked through the index under both Ford and Roush, to no success.
Actually, if anybody has some images floating around of other IMSA GTO cars, those would be helpful, too.
Thanks!
Welcome,
Hope this is sort of what you are looking for, scanned slides taken at the 2002 Brian Redman International Challenge at Elkhardt Lake
