after 12 out-bids on ebay I finally got my asking price on a barely used lens and saved about £40 off retail. My budget is low but I've tried this lens out before and it performs really well in action shots and its macro capability isnt half bad.

I don't know much about guns so is that a real gun which shoots real bullets?

neg. iirc they use CO2 canisters to shoot plastic BB's. so far as i know the appeal is that you can make them look very real as seen by RM's nice example

Pretty much as he clutch-monkey said, except this uses propane(not as fuel, but basically pressurized propellant). Basically your run-of-the-mill Coleman propane bottle(for outdoor traveling grill or gas lamp) with a special adaptor. They function mechanically very similarly to a real thing with slide blowing back and all. This is built for airsoft IPSC shooting, basically a type of speed shooting(what I like to think as autoX for handgun...)

Looks suprisingly like my kimber 45. Except for the accessories, and the barrel extention. But the grip looks very close, except that mines wood. So basically they look nothing like. Still looks pretty sweet though. Would pass for a real gun to me. In your state, are you required to put an orange plug at the end of the barrel?
