Stick with the old or upgrade??

I found a great looking Evo MR
Do you think I should trade in my car for this . . . currently a IS 300 "Excellent car"

No, using the EVO as your every day car will soon make you sick in terms of fuel consumption and lack of ride comfort. Service intervals will also be not what you are used to know. The car will be great for sunny afternoons when you want to seek its limits, but not as a daily driver.

    It depends what you want.

Would you like to sacrifice comfort and overall economy for a small amount of usable on-road performance and driving fun?

I'd personally stick with the Lexus, you only just got it!

I vote for the Lexus too. It makes more sense as a daily driver.

I vote for Lexus also. It's RWD also, so you can have fun with it also.

The Lexus is a better car overall. You can still have fun in the Lexus. The Mitsubishi is harder to live with on a daily basis.

Evo > IS in terms of fun.

But yeah, EVO has everyday driver = fail @ comfort. Prepare for hemrhoids =).

I'd go for the evo. Every time. You're 19, not 39.

Yeah because no 19 year old would be seen dead in a brand new lexus.

Ok point taken. But personally I could care less what people see me driving. I'd go for the evo as the faster and funner car, but I guess that's just personal preference, I really don't care much about ride quality / road noise etc.

I would take the performance option everytime but that's because I give a rats a** about comfort and fuel consumption.

There are few issues to consider though before making the decision to buy an EVO: They are not the most reliable cars, I've known of people going through two engines or two gear boxes on less than 10.000 miles. Their warranty also is also world famous for not being one really, and Mitsubishi Motors is in a dire financial situation. Last but not least, in a recent study (found else where in this forum) the EVO was the car most prone to be in an accident. Nevertheless I think it's one of those cars that you should own once in a life time.
