    H4 Confirmed

He said that the H4 will be built on an upcoming compact GM platform that will allow the company to build a smaller vehicle. “Our growth will be downwards in terms of size,” Mr Walsh says, adding: “Opportunities will lie in smaller segments.” However, he said Hummer will still focus on it’s “iconic design” and leading off-road capabilities.
Hummer is hoping that the smaller H4 will give it strong ground to compete against the likes of the Nissan Murano and other compact SUVs. In the United States alone, Walsh believes that a smaller vehicle line-up could add between 30,000 and 40,000 sales.
The Hummer H4 is expected to make its debut at the next Detroit Auto Show.
Form what it looks like, it's not as bad as I expected. And considering that the H3 might be getting diesel power, maybe this will too.

I hate the H2, and hate the H3 even more, but this is pretty cool. It's kind of like a Jeep Wrangler, but then again, it's hard to judge this thing off of a concept.

How long can GM last this way, trying to get the profit off of dropping SUV sales?

They should spend money on improving cars in general.

Idk if I'd call this an SUT, it's more of a pick-up. Plus, Hummer is probably one of their most profitable marques.

I always thought the H2 sucked, the H3 is a bit better but still far from being good, and seriously, this H4 thing is even worse. Humvee was the real deal.

Oh yeah, dropping SUV sales...even though trucks still outsell cars by 20% in the U.S? They'll profit from this.

I do NOT want to see this in my rear mirror.. chances are it'll be some idiot behind the wheels thinking they're invincible and be able to do anything they want even in snow storm conditions...

Yeah but if you stop to think about it after the hurricanes when gas here hit almost $4 people were still driving buying trucks.

This kind of thing would probably get close to 30mpg, if not more. Especially if a proper diesel is implemented.

That is utter madness. Where are the statistics? It's not that I don't trust you, it's that I want to know the full story.

How many people that own trucks actually use them to haul and tow? I would say very little. Cars FTW!
