Well i guess up here in the Northeast at night time its a great way to drive, around the city in the shade of the buildings its nice and with overcast too. Mountain roads are great for them too. For a summer time car i can do a convertible!

I like the way you roll. My choice, too.

Given the caveat of this fantasy there are very few drop-top sports cars that are as appealing.

A 7 replica of some description (preferably a Busa-engined one), or maybe a Boxster Spyder.

Caterham Levante, cause if you're going faster than the speed of light, you can't get sunburned.

When are you going to have convertible though? Not in the winter when it's cold and wet. And yes, it in the summer it's hot and the sun shines but you can wear a hat or something or just apply suncream in you nape and problem solved.

And you get to feel the engine much more closer.

for the last couple of years we had a Mustang Convertible while in California in August. I think we had the top down only a couple of times, otherwise it is just plainly uncomfortable.

On the other hand, a convertible in Perth would be excellent. In winter.

A convertible here today would have been very nice, other than being slower and heavier than the same model with a real roof... The couple of weeks where you get rain and cold I'd happily be without. Summer. Not a chance.

the sun doesn't shine, it immolates. convertible gets used in winter, or summer nights. when there isn't a tropical thunderstorm.

Maybe a Gumpert Apollo or a Lotus Elise. Both aren't really enjoyable in any other season than summer.

You say that, but there's multiple Lotuses around here active all year. S'good. More o'them than minis, which is nice. For some reason that seems to be an apt thing.

    exactly.
Haha, immolation. That's a good way to describe it.

And this is coming from someone from Australia, I'd have to agree with you then.

I'd get a 911 Carrera Targa S (do they even make those?), Subaru STI or Audi RS4 Avant. I feel like being modest this summer.
