Let me put it this way.

It costs more to run than it understeers.

And if domething goes wrong... you've had it.

Got it. *crosses Audi off list of possible future cars*

Not so. One only keeps an Audi 2 years (strictly) on lease, and the warranty covers all...
except TIRES which on certain models can break the bank.

    I've had 3, wouldn't mind having the S8 back.
Never own more cars than you can keep charged batteries in...

I'm actually forming a bond with my current car.

    I think I'm going mental...

Think you're going mental now... wait till it starts giving trouble. The 2-year thing is the only rational way to drive one.
I tried to bond with an Allroad... but it was hopeless. Total mistake, typical of why Audi is reviled by so many.

The S8 on the other hand was sublime, with the best part being invisible to cops as well as M5 drivers.

One car i would love to own is a 2003-2005 BMW M3, there great cars and you can get a decent one for about £13,000 with 50,000-70,000 miles on the clock. So this could be a secondary dream cars instead of a Aston Martin DBS.

Ya... about that going wrong thing, it has already done so...

However, there was little I could do, except to fix it, if I want to keep having my own car so I'm now very broke.

And German reliability is a complete myth.

    Probably.

My TT has held up well. I think whatever gremlins there were have already been fixed by the previous owner. I've put 16,000 km on it since I bought it, and all I've had to do is change oil and replace a rear shock, although now a wheel bearing has thrown in the towel as well. Just wear and tear really. 153,000 km on her now. The only complaint I have is that even though its a "quattro", its still really just FWD. Other than that, great on long trips, phenomenal gas mileage out of the 1.8T, and it still turns heads .

my BMW never had anything wrong with it. In the three years I owned it. At 180,000 miles all i ever had to do on it was change the oil, oil filter, air filter, the battery, the struts, the starter, the waterpump, the engine, the gas tank, all 4 tires, the ac compressor, the washer fluid resevoir, ball joints, and fuel filter.

I paid $4,500 for the car and probably spent about $5,000 in parts and labor
