    The World's Verdict

Please excuse this threat if political discussions have been banned. I've not had an enormous amount of time to frequent here with the hectic life college often creates.

Jonathan Freedland: The world's verdict will be harsh if the US rejects the man it yearns for | Comment is free | The Guardian

I was sent this article by a dear friend in Costa Rica about how the outcome of this election will set the worlds opinion not on the government of the United States, but the people. My question is this: how do you feel about this? Is this a fairly accurate statement?

I don't mean to tweak any tails; and I'm already decided in which way I shall cast my vote. I'm just wondering if the argument Mr. Freedland is making in this article is as much of an issue as he makes it out to be...

    thanks,

This is a relatively old article. The newness of Palin has worn off and John McCain's connections to Wall Street may come back to bite him. Obama, recently, has been leading in the polls, but the Bradley Effect may yet take its toll.

Sometimes I think McCain is actually mentally unwell, he just does the weirdest things. It'll be an absolute disaster if he is president.

    He is just mavericky.
If you should see a man walking down a crowded street talking aloud to himself, don't run in the opposite direction, but run towards him, because he's a poet. You have nothing to fear from the poet - but the truth.

I think Palin should mention that. Maybe he should, too.

Obama is likely to be assasinated sometime into his first term.

McCain is likely to have a Heart attack. Or Invade Vietnam. You know, for old times sake.
