Final Goodwood Revival preview with competition Bizzarrini and Cooper F1 car ...

This weekend, all eyes are on the Goodwood Motor Circuit where the annual Revival Meeting will be staged. We are on hand as always and will produce a full report early next week. To get you in the mood already, we have today taken a detailed look at two cars that will feature during the weekend.
Due to race in the blue ribband RAC Tourist Trophy Celebration is this Bizzarrini 5300 GT Corsa. A very rare competition version, this car was entered for Le Mans in 1966 and again in 1967. Fitted with independent rear suspension, it is also the only 5300 GT completed with right-hand drive. Restored during the late 2000s, it has since been raced extensively in historic events as can be seen in our 35-shot gallery.
Celebrating 60 years of the Mini, the Revival Meeting will highlight Cooper Cars during the weekend with a special parade. One example that will not take part in the parade is this Cooper T55 Climax, which was raced during the 1961 Formula 1 World Championship by Jack Brabham. Instead, it has been consigned to the Bonhams auction with all proceeds set to benefit Sir Jackie Stewart's very worthy 'Race Against Dementia' charity. The first of two built, it is offered at no reserve and has an estimate of just GBP 100,000 - 150,000.

If you should see a man walking down a crowded street talking aloud to himself, don't run in the opposite direction, but run towards him, because he's a poet. You have nothing to fear from the poet - but the truth.
