You tell the truth. My reaction was similar to a good friend of mine, you may know him as Dr. Kelso: YouTube - [Scrubs] - "Damn Turkledawg!"

Must be something good because every time I saw one in person it looked not much larger than an SLK... I'm sure it is considerably larger, but come on, it's not as if it's a LWB pope-mobile now is it?

People have to lose the notion of this car being a great track performer. Like LQ put, it's practically a muscle car.

I remember how I hated the new style of the SL and wrote that it's VERY ugly, but now I got used to it and even like it. So the new modification looks pretty good for me - I like its muscular style.

Why so cynical lads? If the CLK63 is anything to go by, this car should be amazing. Clarkson isn't the only one who loves it, it's been highly rated in several car mags. This is not much heavier than the CLK at all, and if i remember correctly the 575 SuperAmerica was in the mid 1700kgs, and it's my opinion this car should be really good. I, for one, look forward to it.

Agreed read multiple reviews and they shun the figures and mainly focus on the driving experience. They truly believe that although AMG pride itself on its numbers, the driving experience is what makes this car so amazing. They say turn in on this car is very impressive.

It probably is longer (and I'd imagine wider) than the pope-mobile. They are massive.

I actually pulled "pope-mobile" out of thin air there. Just my luck it turns out the SL is longer and probably wider than the thing I imagined would be huge!

Anyways, point taken, SL is probably a lot bigger than I think it is.

if you think it's smaller than what it really is, that's mean it's proportioned, which is good. The CL, on the other hand, isn't so bigger than the SL, but looks huge even compare to the SL.

I think the fact that the CL looks so massive is a good thing. Kind of brings back that olde Mercedes 'presence' from yore.
