Thanks for the information Mr. Vette. The prices seem more than reasonable for what you are getting with this new Vette.

    A grey import C5 Z06 costs £50,000 = roughly $90,000
If Chevy started officially importing them to the UK, through the Vauxhall dealership network, you could probably add another $10 - 20,000.

Hopefully they will produce a rhd version for the UK and the Antipodeans.

The C5 is a well kept secret, and if the C6 is as good as people say it is, they might be onto a winner.
However, US cars traditionally don't do well over here, and quality is a big sticking point.
    Thanks for all the fish

Well, I'm not going to come right out and make any promises that fit and finish in the new C6's will be flawless but from the C6's I've been in and had time to look at I can tell you it is considerabely better than the C5.

    US cars DON'T COST ENOUGH!

    Bloody Yanks -
You don't pay enough for any car, let alone a C6
Wake up and smell the aliphatic hydro-carbons -
Considering Australia's and US's average wage/salary - it takes about 18 months to earn the equivalent of the cost of a C6.
In Oz a Monaro costs $55K to $60K - similar to a C6 - and what do you get?
In the US a GTO costs $30K -

    Bloody Yanks -
You don't pay enough for any car

    Cadillac Corvette?

It would appear the UK may get that rarest of American sportscars the Cadillac Corvette.

Cadillac Europe are considering whether to set up a UK dealership network, selling the rhd CTS, lhd XLR, SRX and Corvette.

Hopefully it will be better than the last time they tried this, selling the old STS at twice the price of the US. Unsurprisingly that hateful turd of a car didn't sell well.
    Thanks for all the fish

Are they gonna sell an XLR and a Corvette side by side? Both with the Cadillac name?

I don't know if the Corvette will be badged as a Cadillac, but it will probably positioned above the XLR.

I don't think they'll be able to sell many of their lhd cars, not when you have a wealth of cars equal to or better already with rhd.
    Thanks for all the fish
