After building up the hype for several months, Lotus have finally taken the wraps of the new Evija hypercar. It features an an all-electric drivetrain that has been developed together with Williams Advanced Engineering. The electric motors produce a combined 2,000 hp, which means that the Evija has more power at each wheel than any previous Lotus production car had in total. Despite the massive amount of power available, Lotus promise a 400 km range for the Evija. The car is known is internally as the Type 130 and accordingly, production is strictly limited to 130 examples. Available from 2020, the Evija will cost £1.7 million excluding duties and local taxes.
To celebrate the company's 100th birthday, Bentley have created the spectacular EXP 100 GT show car. While the concept celebrates the company's first 100 years, it also looks ahead to the future with a thoroughly modern drivetrain. Like the Evija, the EXP 100 GT is all-electric. A luxury Grand Tourer, it combines a 1,500 Nm output with an impressive range of 700 km. Being a proper Bentley, the EXP 100 GT also boasts a lavishly appointed interior with an unusual three-seater configuration.
