A 4 door and 2 door coupe We call the GTS it's been around for ever and is a legend here. And now with HSV getting the LS2 they are waiting for something big for the GTS as it must be faster then the LS2 because it cost's a shit load

The name "SS" will never be used because it also directs to the most deadly Nazi warriors during WW II. The SS was a special brigade organised by Hitler himself and contained the best en most deadly soldiers and weapons.
During the time many conceptcars where called 'SS', but those never made it into Europe with that name on it. In the US it might be different though.

yeah, stateside its a bit different...SS means SuperSport...and many Americans would have no idea what you're talking about in regards to Nazis...
currently all of Chevrolet uses the SS badge for the top trim level of each model:
Cobalt SS- 205hp 2.0L Supercharged I4
Malibu SS- 240hp 3.9L V6
Monte Carlo SS- 303hp 5.3L V8
Impala SS- 303hp 5.3L V8
Silverado SS- 345hp 6.0L V8
TrailBlazer SS- 391hp 6.0L V8
so you see... they already are using the SS badge alot...
however i dont think any of these models are exported to europe...
i suppose if GM were to make a Corvette SS they could always re-name it for the european market

im inclined to think that it is not just a Z06 mule...
in the attached picture, how do you explain what those are?
if they are omething to control the angle of the front splitter, then why does the rest of the car seem to be in final production trim if they are still playing with settings? other possibility could be some sort of duct...either way it just doesnt seem to add up...
oh and not to mention what Bob Lutz said: “Let’s just say [Corvette chief engineer] Dave Hill is not a guy who likes playing second fiddle to any high-performance car on the road,” said Lutz. “My guess is we’re going to find a way to do something beyond the Z06, that would be at a much higher price point, and which would compete with some of the leading high-performance cars of the world.”

i dont think that this super-vette is gonna be sold anytime soon, remember, the C5 Z06 didnt come out till 2000, three years after the C5 launch in 97...so maybe 2008?

So the line up from dodge will consist of the dodge viper srt-10 convertible, the srt-10 coupe, and a GTS model? If so what is the gts going to be like?
