'67 Mustang - "The Trailer Queen"

Here she is - the first car I ever worked on, the first one my Dad and I restored. Only 97k miles on the body, ~5k on a rebuilt drivetrain. And now, this is what I drive daily.

    Nice car.

How many horses is it pushing?

Your car is absolutely amazing. I am happy that you drive it daily and actually use the car for what it is supposed to be doing: driving.

    Nice Mustang jcp!

Though isn't it a bit lighter than the dark green Bullitt Mustang?

I am pretty sure that Bullitts isn't metallic paint either.

Wasn't rebuilt for speed. 160.3hp@4300rpm at the wheels.

Thanks for the kind words...it'll share DD duty with my bike, since it gets 40mpg on my commute, but she'll be out there for sure! The color is called Dark Moss Green. It's exceptionally rare to see one with that exterior color and the Ivy Gold interior color scheme - all but a handful came with black interiors. In the shade it looks like Bullitt green, but in the light you can tell Bullitt's much darker.

All gone, except for this one. Casualties of moving to Texas. And I only have this one because my Dad was threatening to sell this one off, too.

Fantastic car jcp, mate has a 68 fastback ? in a light metallic blue, he is after a set of wheels it runs hubcaps at the moment. Your style wheel would look great on his. Great resto you've done there.

Not sure about the luggage rack on the back of your Mustang though, makes the rear end look a bit busy.

Thank you! These are what Ford called "styled steel wheels" - I'm not sure they were available in '68 from the factory, that is if he's concerned at all with originality, but make sure he doesn't get the plain '65-'66-style center caps. Those would be a dead giveaway. If he doesn't care much for originality, Ford's Magnum 500 wheels are always a good look. American Racing Torq-Thrust wheels are always popular on these too, available in painted form for that badass Bullitt look or polished/chrome look up to at least 17" for the modernized look.

As for the luggage rack...car came with it. We liked it. It stayed. Even if we didn't like it, it's still drilled through the deck lid, so we'd probably have kept it anyway rather than trying to have the holes patched or getting an el-cheapo aftermarket deck lid.
