the ssc aero is a keonigsegg cc8s with a face lift and a bigger bore and stroke. this car is a fluke, its a rip off of keonigsegg, and has no future.

    WAIT!!!

The title of World's Fastest Car now belongs to ANOTHER American car, piloted by young Jurgen Sucksdorff, who earned the honor, by fractions of a second, posthumously:
    Ultimate Speed Division

Though a German, Sucksdorff was piloting a soapbox derby car built from an American kit fitted, at the last second, with a specially prepared quad-turbo/supercharged 572-cubic-inch ZZ572 General Motors crate motor running on methanol to produce an estimated 12,865 horsepower.

Sucksdorff, who while strapping into the cockpit told friends and family that she really didn't "want to go on anyway with the name Sucksdorff," was recorded at a speed of 278.22 mph at the bottom of the historic Akron hill in Ohio, proving that if you stuff a gigantic, unuseable engine into any four-wheeled piece of shit you've got a shot at stealing the McLaren F1's title.

The record-breaking engine, which was recovered several tens of thousands of yards away from the site of Sucksdorff's tragic yet eminently predictable crash, is being prepared for another record-attempt vehicle, this time a Little Tykes Cozy Coupe which Sucksdorff's uncle, Rick Sucksdorff, intends to take to Utah's Great Salt Lake in coming weeks, though no one has told him yet that it isn't dry.

o yay, now its just a race among all the companies to see who can put the most super chargers on a car.....
I think "Koenigsegg" is Sweedish for "OH NO, MY HEADS JUST EXPLODED!"

If you can still see the cops,
    you're not going fast enough.

QFT, atleast with the veyron you could drive it at 400+ whilst fondling your knob and smokin a cig. The SSC its an achievement in itself but **** when does it end. That 9FF GT9 is apparently going for the official record in the near future aswell. If you havnt had a chance to check it on youtube its very worthy. They claim it can slalom as quick as a carrera GT......BS
