    VE Commodore Ute pics

Spotted in Melbourne it's definately a proper ute - not the rumoured cab-chassis - and appears to be a lwb variant, not swb like VE sedan

Down port way that isn't far from holden... I'm never far from there some friends live just there and i just went to look at holden a couple of weeks ago..

That thing looks long and there trying hard to put you off the b pillar and give the rear a cab look like Ford falcon ute. There have been rumours of it being like that. But that so far doesn't show it. Might be different models?

I hope they don't go down the cab path that Ford use - the Holden bodies look so much better then Ford's half metre gap there.

Has anyone told them that if the car didn't have camouflage on it that person probably would have never seen it and taken pics?

That vertical black line aft of the cab is just a disguise - it is a one-piece body. I have to say the current Commodore 'integrated style' ute looks much better than Falcon's demountable tray - although the Ford tub design is very clever and also demountable to allow for a tray-top

VE ute sides are pretty high compared to previous HQ-on Holden utes, including Commodore. I'm not sure I like that aspect, good for some types of loads but the tub looks a bit too 'tubby' and not as slinky as VU-VZ

is it the poor light or do the wheels look really really small?

The Ute Tray is VERY high. but it's more than likely because it's on 15 steelies.

The wheels on every VE look small. The 20" HSV rims look like 18's.

Doesnt have the rearward rake along the tray that almost every one of the CGI's so far has had.

15" for sure.. 15" on my car looks small.. Base model with the extra height pack 200mm. Wonder if it's full IRS or leaf spring setup??.. It's really got the crewman rear look going and that was large.

If it's a full body ute it'll be IRS, the base level multi-link setup from the Omega.

Yeah, not too much point with a live axle if its still going to follow the sports ute route
