I really dig this and I love the idea of owning one of these someday but it's just a lot of money for a very impractical mode of transportation.

CHeck out original Morgan 3-wheeler and loads of others from the UK from the 1900/10s up to 50s and you'll see the "heritage"

I'm totally fascinated by them, I don't know why, I'd take one over a motorcycle any day. I could see them being loads of fun or just ridiculously dangerous or something. haha

Auction copy quote: "This car is an unfinished professional restoration."

That's a restoration shop to be avoided at all costs. Pretty sad state for a 931, looks like it's spent more than a couple of years outside.

    Pass.

And if the 1994 pic shown was taken by Susan Miller, it must've been with a disposable camera provided by the owner. Absolutely nothing provided by the seller makes this POS attractive.

I was only posting it for the rarity of the car. ive never seen one before. besides some people enjoy restoring old cars, so don't be too quick to judge.

Old cars are not just a hobby, I drive them every day. Having restored some 2 dozen old cars and currently finishing 3 more (with a particular affinity for Porsches) it's a rational and legitimate judgement. The seller's ad tells the story most enthusiasts will avoid.

The 931 (13,600 built) was a performance improvement of a low-priced model, but was interim to the 937 which is rarer still (400 examples) and much more desirable. The 931 cars have fans, but it's not a large group. Perhaps this one will find a buyer willing to spend beyond it's value, and hopefully won't suffer the fate it's been dealt so far. But there's not much upside in doing so.
