This could be a useful thread but for now, it just seems spammish. Consider that within a short time every link associated with this thread will be dead, so posting a photo and part of the sales copy instead makes archival sense. Otherwise, soon it will just be a zombie link thread.

Actually that would be preferred to being able to SEE those POS so-called "kits" on top of shitty Fiero bodies.

actually its getting its use out of it. The reason i posted is for people who actually want to buy a car and might not have found what they are looking for. once the car is sold there is no point to go back and look at an old post...

For some reason i don't realy like replica kit, i only like a few. One replica kit i do like is the Ford GT40 replica kits but normaly i think their pointless. Why have a replica of a car if you can't afford the realy thing.

Well, to answer your question, if you buy a good quality replica kit, you can get a car that look very close to the real thing, but without the actual upkeep cost of owning an expensive italian super car. Like the thread i posted about the owner of the Ferrari who spent over $60,000 on maintenance over a 3 year period on a 6 year old ferrari.

I'm really big against replica kits. With all of them running around it really makes the real thing less special. Whenever i see a Cobra nowadays i never give it a second look and just pass it off as it being a replica and not the real thing

well as far as Cobras go, the replicas are pretty true to the original, along with the GT40. the italian exotics are the ones who get butchered. However Would you really want to spend a quarter million on a Shelby Cobra or half a million on a GT40? Not me, especially when you can get a modern replica that is practically spot on! And you can drive it every day not worrying about destroying a classic.

besides, I see less repilcas for sale then the real thing for most cars, excluding cobras and GT40s.
